Total E&P Golfe welcomes new Managing Director and Country Chair in Qatar

On November 10, 2020, Matthieu Bouyer was appointed Total E&P Golfe Managing Director and Total Country Chair in Qatar.

In this capacity, Matthieu will oversee Total E&P Golfe’s operated and non-operated businesses, as well as research activities. He will work on strengthening further the partnership with stakeholders such as Qatar Petroleum (QP), North Oil Company, Qatargas, Dolphin Energy, Muntajat, QAPCO and Qatofin

I look forward to working closely with all our partners and stakeholders and to leverage Total’s know how and expertise to deliver long-term value for Qatar”, quoted Matthieu Bouyer upon commencing his new role.

Matthieu joined the Total Group in 2005 through the Total E&P Surface Facilities Engineer Program in Congo. From 2006 to 2013, he held various positions in safety, engineering, fields development and project management, in France, Africa, Middle East. Subsequently, he served as Package Manager in Total’s Moho Nord deep offshore project in China.

After a large experience in O&G operations, he took a business-oriented role and became Strategy Analyst in Total E&P Headquarters in France. Prior to this new appointment, he was Investor Relations Manager within the Group Financial Division based in the UK.

Matthieu is Charted Engineer, Graduate from Ecole Centrale Nantes in France.
