TotalEnergies Collaborates with Qatari Artists for Qatar TotalEnergies Open

TotalEnergies, title sponsor of the prestigious event, have announced their collaboration with local Qatari artists to create various designs used throughout the Qatar TotalEnergies Open ladies tournament. This comes as a part of the Company’s efforts aimed at supporting local cultural and artistic talent in Qatar.

The announcement was made during a recent signing ceremony with H.E Nasser Al-Khelaifi, President of the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation, and Matthieu Bouyer, Managing Director TotalEnergies EP Qatar and Country Chair, for the renewal of the tournament sponsorship for a further 3 years starting 2022.

During the ceremony, the tournament artwork created by Qatari artists Noof Al-Naama and Ibrahim Al-Baker was unveiled and presented to H.E. Nasser Al-Khelaifi. As explained by the artists, the design represents a falcon feather, a symbol for Qatari pride and strength, surrounding a tennis racket.

It is a great honor to be representing the Qatari youth and aspiring artists in Qatar and to design the TotalEnergies tournament logo,” said Noof Al-Naama during the event.

TotalEnergies also teamed up with Kaltham Al Majid, a young Qatari jewelry designer, who is on a mission to represent Qatari culture and values by incorporating tradition, culture, and nature into fine jewelry. Her unique collection, commissioned by TotalEnergies, is being gifted to all players of the tennis tournament.

TotalEnergies has undertaken a more active and engaged role toward the Qatari community and society, with a mission to support local talent, and bridge culture, heritage, and sports through various initiatives and events, such as Qatar TotalEnergies Open.

Matthieu Bouyer, Managing Director TotalEnergies EP Qatar and Country Chair said “We are excited about this collaboration with Qatari artists Noof Al-Naama, Ibrahim Al-Baker, and Kaltham Al-Majid, and we are happy to provide a platform where we can showcase and support the development of both young artists, and Qatar’s rich culture and art”.
